A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Providence, RI, supporting elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities. This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction in classrooms of 8-12 students to meet their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ abilities and goals.
- Provide direct instruction and support in an elementary special education setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and education.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
- Experience working with students with Autism and developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education teaching methodologies.
- Ability to manage classrooms with 8-12 students effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
